McDonald’s now serving chocolate pies

Hot on the heels of the Nutella filled donuts showing up everywhere in Melbourne, Macca’s has joined in on stuffing an existing staple with chocolate.

The humble Apple Pie now comes with a custard chocolate variant as a part of McDonalds Australia’s “Winter Loose Change Menu” and costs $1.50.

So of course, I had one.

Could be worse I guess

 

The chocolate becomes more of a paste, probably because it sits in the hot machine too long waiting or someone to buy it. 

 

I can tell you it’s most likely not Nutella and is closer to solid chocolate than custard chocolate.

The taste of “chocolate” is also a bit weak…

Verdict: Stick to the apple pie.
